Sana Saeed: ‘Kuch Kuch Hota Hai’ girl is back!

Sana Saeed, the cute, little bubbly child actor who played SRK’s daughter Anjali in Karan Johar’s directorial debut Kuch Kuch Hota Hai is all set to make a comeback on the silver screen in her grown up and much glamorous avatar. Yes, you heard that right! The sweetie pie has grown up into a hottie and would be seen playing the second lead in Karan Johar’s forthcoming romantic comedy ‘Student of the Year’ that also stars Alia Bhatt making her debut in Bollywood.

Looking at Sana Saeed’s hot photos and reading about her big screen comeback in a main lead, you may think for a moment that how time flies. But let me remind you guys, it’s been 14 years that Kuch Kuch Hota Hai went on floors, so it’s OKAY! And yeah, time indeed flies. I thought I just watched the movie for the first time some days back.

Nevertheless, coming back to Sana and her comeback film ‘Student of the Year’, it’s obvious that there would be endless comparisons that would do the rounds now. Not only with other child artists who have bagged substantial roles in big banner films but also with the top notch established big starlets who have made their way to glory in similar ways.

I was reading somewhere ‘Is Sana going to be the next Rani Mukherjee’. Okay, so there you go! Is it just for a fact that Sana played Rani’s daughter in Kuch Kuch Hota Hai that these expectations have come up? Not really! Apparently, Rani Mukherjee also got her share of fame in Bollywood only after she gave a praiseworthy performance as a second lead in Kuch Kuch Hota Hai. So Sana Saeed might be following the same path to make her way in the industry.

Whatever the case be, the upcoming starlet surely would garner sufficient attention from the movie buffs and critics alike. Though I was surprised why couldn’t I spot Sana’s anywhere in the promos of ‘Student of the Year’ but guess that’s where the catch is. Karan Johar might be saving the best for the last and not revealing it all to the audiences beforehand. Quite a strategy, I must say!

But at the same time, I have my own doubts if audiences would be able to identify Sana Saeed’s in her present stunning avatar. Honestly, for me at least, it was tough to relate her present hot looks (in her latest photo shoot with Daboo Ratnani) with that of what we saw 14 year back in Kuch Kuch Hota Hai. Maybe, Sana’s upcoming film would prove that she is another big star in the making. Whether Sana Saeed would manage to win hearts and stay here for long, time would decide. I’d only like to wish her good luck.
