Salman Khan might be the only actor to have benefited from the idiot box immensely.
He strode into the TV arena after his Bollywood career graph was slowly going downhill.
Not only that, but Salman’s constant brawls with other superstars and his drunken driving incident only made matters worse for the diminishing star.
Magically, Salman Khan’s fortune was given a second chance in the form of Dus Ka Dum (TV show). While critics were ready to write off Salman’s debut as a TV host, the actor shunned one and all and shone brighter than any other star in his league.
Salman Khan was a natural while hosting. His connect with the audience was superb and also helped boost his larger-than-life big-screen persona, which in turn has worked in the favour of his super successful films.
Soon after Dus Ka Dum went off air, Salman’s next golden opportunity came in the form of Bigg Boss’ TV host.
Bigg Boss over the past three seasons has helped Bollywood’s spoilt brat cleanse his act. Though Salman has still retained his bad-boy charm, but the élan with which he does it makes it harmless and fun.
In the process, Salman’s image has taken a turn for the good that has only endeared him to the audiences all over.
We hope to see more of Salman Khan on the idiot box.
