Kajol Devgn would have never been in such a terrible dilemma where she had to choose between the love of her life Ajay Devgn and her best friend Shahrukh Khan. With the ongoing tussle between ‘Son of Sardaar’ and ‘Jab Tak Hai Jaan’, it looks like Kajol will have to put her foot down and support her home production ‘Son of Sardaar’ that stars her husband Ajay Devgn in the main lead. Does this necessarily mean that Kajol will end up triggering a cold war with ‘Yash Raj Films’? Tough to comment, but chances are quite high that real life love will score over reel love and friendship.
Even the fact that YRF played the most crucial role in shaping Kajol’s Bollywood career won’t seem to be coming in the picture at all, as there will be an evident and unstated bias towards ‘Son of Sardaar’.
What is bothering me is that why even Kajol had to be dragged in this fight? She could have easily decided to stay neutral, as she remained mum over this legal issue between SOS and JTHJ makers and didn’t make any comment during press meets. Despite this silence, speculations are doing the rounds that Kajol may not even be invited by Yash Raj Films for the star studded premier of Jab Tak Hai Jaan, which will see all Yash Raj leading ladies coming together to pay homage to late Yash Chopra.
Over all these years, Kajol has played the leading in quite a few YRF films but the ugly spat between Ajay Devgn and YRF’s producers has clearly tarnished this bond in no time. It makes me feel sad for the people belonging to Bollywood fraternity that how their relationship equations switch due to personal differences. Not denying the fact that Kajol indeed is caught in a situation where it ought to be a tough call, yet it isn’t really wise to give up on your closest of friendship for the sake of a fleeting fight between the producers of the films.
I’d say it’s just Kajol’s bad luck that she happened to be the common chord between Ajay and SRK and hence will face the brunt of the quarrel that doesn’t seem to end soon. At least not till the time both SOS and JTHJ get released on Diwali and draw huge crowds to watch the films on the big screen. Let’s wait and watch for the big Box Office clash on November 13.
